It was a pleasant surprise to find Destined for Dust chosen as a “Netlabel Music of the Week” selection by Fwonk.com, along with 2 other fine releases.

Acts of Silence music blog posted a generous review of Destined for Dust this week. The proprietor of the blog has been very supportive of the music, and is a twitter friend as well (@dpnem).

An excerpt from the review:

Though only 6 tracks, Destined for Dust comes in at 36 minutes and none of his songs flounder under their extended length. My two favorite songs from my repeated listens are “Destined for Dust” and “Talk to Tracey”, both of which display Helm’s talents at their best: synth-pop songs filled with English pathos and American disillusionment.

Really humbled to have new art work created by Manuel Sanchez (www.azzusicart.com) for Destined for Dust. He sent it to me out of the blue and I immediately asked if I could appropriate it for my own uses and zero money. He graciously agreed. I’m really honored that he took the time.

If you don’t know how to grab the image and update the cover art, just download from Bandcamp again on me for $0, and it should have the new art work.

Please check out Manuel’s work as well. A talented artist that I’m lucky to have as a friend on twitter, and humbled that he was moved to create something based on my album. A fantastic surprise.
